The Simplest New Year’s Resolution to Keep you Fit

Many people will make resolutions this year to lose weight, stop smoking, eat healthier, etc. Unfortunately, not everyone will succeed because they don’t take the baby steps necessary to make a new healthy habit stick. So what is the simplest New Year’s resolution to keep? Sit less!

1. If you are on the computer or watching tv, every 15 minutes get up and stretch, do some squats, lunges, push-ups, etc. Here is a list of exercises you can do by your desk.

2. if you are on a phone call, get a cordless phone or a headset and walk around while you speak.

3. When you are driving somewhere, park a block or two earlier so you spend some time walking instead of sitting.
